Marie-Louise Jones is a British artist living and working in London. Her practice examines intersections of nature-culture, organic-artifice to explore materiality-being. Responding to local landscapes she gathers samples of the material fabric of the surrounding environment creating a network of forms and processes which include sculpture, installation, image, moving image and collage.
A current MA Fine Art student at Central Saint Martins, she is recipient of the prestigious Mona Hatoum Scholarship 2020. Exhibitions include: Tate Modern, Tate Exchange 2020, Westminster Central Hall 2019, Museum of Contemporary Art Oaxaca, Mexico (MACO) 2019. Selected as winning AER candidate for LabVerde Residency in the Amazon Rainforest 2021, she has received Arts Council England Awards 2018, and invited as Resident Artist for Dia Projects in Ho Chi Minh City, 2018.
