Marie-Louise Jones is a London-based artist exploring landscape, materiality and being. Predominantly working with sculpture and installation she gathers samples of the material fabric of the surrounding environment, whether physical or non-physical employing a range of techniques from traditional sculpting mediums to new technologies reimagining objects to explore relationships between landscape, image, form and material.
A current MA Fine Art student at Central Saint Martins, she is recipient of the prestigious Mona Hatoum Scholarship 2020. Exhibitions include: Tate Modern (2020), Westminster Central Hall (2019), Museum of Contemporary Art Oaxaca [MACO] (2019). Selected as winning AER candidate for LabVerde Residency in the Amazon Rainforest (2021), she has received Arts Council England Awards (2018), and invited as Resident Artist for Dia Projects in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (2018).
